LEAF Marque is an environmental assurance scheme, showing that food has been grown sustainably and with care for the environment. Here we take a look at the process of setting the LEAF Marque Standard.
LEAF Marque is responsible for revising the LEAF Marque Standard at least every 5 years. The LEAF Marque Standard Setting Procedure follows the ISEAL Code of Good Practice for Setting Social and Environmental Standards. For more detail on the procedure please read the LEAF Marque Standard Setting Procedure. Stakeholder engagement is a core part of LEAF Marque and we welcome feedback from all stakeholders on all areas including the LEAF Marque Standard and the Standard Setting Procedure at any time by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
The next version of the LEAF Marque Standard (v15) will be published on the 1st October 2019 and will become effective from the 1st January 2020.
The timeplan for development of the LEAF Marque Standard will include a 60-day public consultation starting late 2018. If you would like to be involved in this, please email email@example.com requesting to be notified of the LEAF Marque Standard v15 Public Consultation.
