Resilient and Ready

Resilient and Ready is a three year immersive and action packed programme of training, technical support and mentoring to adopt more sustainable farming, build the resilience of their own businesses and gain the skills, confidence and know-how to go on to become industry innovators and leaders.

Resilient and Ready is a ground-breaking new initiative delivered in partnership by LEAF and Corteva Agriscience, to develop new and emerging sustainable farming champions.

About Resilient and Ready

We have chosen four forward thinking farms to support on a three year immersive and action packed programme of training, technical support and mentoring to adopt more sustainable farming, build the resilience of their own businesses and gain the skills, confidence and know-how to go on to become industry innovators and leaders.

The Resilient and Ready offer

Our selected farmers will now benefit from a deep dive training programme tailored to their business and individual requirements and priorities. The programme will include:

  • Training from both LEAF and external partners
  • Services, support and trialling opportunities from Corteva
  • One-to-one mentoring and on-farm specialist advice
  • State of the art communications training offering the skills, know-how and confidence to go on to become leaders and innovators in sustainable farming
  • Benchmarking and monitoring in key aspects of sustainability

Depending on suitability and priorities, participating farmers will have the opportunity to become LEAF Demonstration Farmers and/or LEAF Marque certified. We are excited to bring you this opportunity for forward looking farmers, eager to move their businesses forward and become key players in accelerating change towards a stronger, more resilient UK farming industry.

The Resilient and Ready Farmers

LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) and Corteva Agriscience set out to work with two businesses but, after receiving a substantial number of applications, doubled the size of the initiative.

The four farms – two in Scotland and two in England – will now undergo a tailored programme of training, consultancy and trials, measuring their performance and sharing their experiences with other farmers across the UK.
